Drive-by Blogging

A relatively quick blog since I've got some extra time on my hands. Been really tired lately and I'm not exactly sure which of the three things is causing it:

1) The 5 page ethics assignment due every week

2) Being submersed in World of Warcraft deeper than ever before

3) Not working out, getting fat

I really think it's a combination of the last two, but I like to blame it on my ethics class. I guess I need to find that better balance in my life so I can do the things I want.

So January is over with, and that is pretty amazing that a month can go by so fast. I had the chance to attend a conference called Breakforth Canada last weekend, which was hosted at the Shaw and had over 10,000 people attending it. This made it the biggest event that the Shaw has ever hosted, which was really cool to be a part of. It's an event where they bring together Christian bands/speakers/teachers and the like to a conference where you get energized in God again. I gotta say, I wasn't too excited about it coming up to the weekend, seeing as my whole weekend would be taken up by classes, seminars, and running around everywhere. But in the end, I was really happy that I went as it was really refreshing to see so many believers in one place, and to get fired up again. And surprisingly enough, I saw Cyrus there, who I didn't know was a believer but go figure. All in all, awesome weekend, and it spoke volumes to me about a number of things.

Other than that, I've also been a part of the team that shoots the announcement videos for my church which is lots of fun. I'm hoping to get a hold of a copy, but I'm kinda hesitant about releasing it to Youtube as it'll probably get torn up. Really cool and funny though what you can do with a camera and a few people with funny ideas.

Wisdom teeth coming out on the 9th of Feb, so that'll be fun. I'll leave with a funny quote I found from Jenna Fischer on her blog (she's the girl who plays Pam the secretary in the US version of "The Office"). She tells of the night where she was at the golden globes because the show was nominated for a number of awards:

"We stood in line for a party where we saw everyone from Paris Hilton to P. Diddy. It was a crazy night. But truthfully I mostly wished that I was at home with my husband watching the Season Premiere of 24. The Globes were fun but not as much fun as watching Jack Bauer murder a man with his mouth."
