Well the two midterms are done with, and I'm still alive. It was a fateful halloween night (maybe not as dramatic as Tony's), when I decided to pull an all nighter for my two midterm day the next morning. I'm not gonna go into huge detail as it may sound like I'm gloating, but some comments that I have about that night.
1) The morning went WAAAY faster than I thought it would. It really is amazing how fast a full morning can go by. When you think about the actual time dimensions of being awake for the full morning, that's a good 10-12 hrs you're getting! I mean really, that's almost the amount of time that a regular sleeping adult may be awake for during the day (give or take 3-4 hrs). So as I was getting into the morning/night, I thought to myself that I'd have plenty of time to get to know this stuff. Before you know it, the family starts to wake up for work, and you're maybe half way through the material by that time. It's utterly insane!
2) The body and mind serve well. Just the fact that they're able to click together in the progress of staying awake during the wee hours is unbelievable. I really thought I'd be zombie-like during that time, but my memory really pulled out for me this time, and I was completely in my studying mode. And this study mode lasted well into the reasonable morning of the next day. That is until I hit a brick wall at 8 AM, then it was starting to hurt.
3) Advil/Tylenol are supreme beings. Ok the story is that I've had this massive toothache which I'm going to get checked out tmrw morning at my dentist appointment (I'm freaking out!), and it totally has the habit of keeping me from sleeping or focusing on anything. Many times I'd have to swish cold water in order to numb the nerves. Then of course the pain would come back a minute later. But thanks to some good old advil action, it's ALLLL good! I had no idea what drugs could do for you, I think I might start doing drugs more often :P
Anyway, I kinda wrote that little bit and now I'm lazy. Will write more next time.
