There's been a few things happening this past week that I'd rather not talk about, and others I could go on and on about. Guess which one I'm gonna blog about today?
First off, I want to wish Anthony Vong a Happy Birthday! Hehe, Vong. Yeah he's turning 19 now, so be sure to wish him a good one if you see him.
Next is about reading textbooks. I don't know how all of you other guys feel, but reading dry textbooks are the pits to me. Usually when it came crunch time to read these textbooks, that's the time I would usually engage myself in some good ol' gaming. But this is not so this year. So now I have to figure out a way to make myself sit down and read these stupid textbooks. The funny part about the entire thing is that the only book that I happen to be caught up for, reading wise, happens to be my more fascinating course: Marketing 301. It's kinda like reading a magazine in the fact that they have so many ads in the book, and they almost present an advertising point of view on the business world. But the first thing that the prof told us was not to think that Marketing translated directly to advertising, because it goes much more in depth supposedly. Nonetheless, when it comes down to reading a text book and I have the 4 exciting choices of Business Law in Canada, Accounting for Business, Statistics for Business, and Marketing, I choose the marketing one without a snap.
Another thing that's been going on lately is that I'm forcing myself to workout more often. I'm not sure if that's necessarily a good thing or a bad thing to my overall life, seeing as my school work seems to be giving most of the leighway time for my increasing workout time. But I'm proud to say that I actually did another cardio workout today. Anyone who knows me well, they know that cardio and legs are my weakest points when it comes to training. Anyhow, I jumped on the eliptical at the campus, and did that business for 20 minutes. After I wiped off my sweat and cooled down for 5 minutes, I jumped on a workout bike for some hill profiles for another 10 minutes. Now I wish I had known which unit of measure the cardio machines measured in at the campus. But from what I believe, it's in miles. If so, I did the eliptical for 2.4 miles which took me 20 minutes. And I did the bike for 2.5 miles which took 10 minutes. All in all, if I have my math right, that works out to 10.78 KM? Now a part of me says that the total I have there is way too high, so I've gotta check with one of the trainers at the campus to be sure. Nonetheless, I was bagged....
Uhh I guess not much else to say except that Fable has finally come out, and with it comes my true test of willpower. I just keep hearing non-stop about how fun and addictive of a game it is, but oh well. It's funny how at the end of the day you seem to evaluate the productivity of the way, when it's already too late to do anything about it. I came to this thought just yesterday while lying in bed, and in that state I told myself that I'd be productive right when I get home from the get go. It's also funny how the parameters of being productive seem to stretch when you're dead tired. When I got home, the ideal thing to do was for some accounting reading. But instead I did the following list of "productive" tasks in the respective order (may be boring to some ppl, but it's kinda amusing at me when I look back at it):
1) Searched the internet for any updates to my Norton Antivirus software.
2) Made sure my WebCT login worked, considering it was giving me troubles just yesterday night, and I had to go in person to get the password reset so I can finally submit my accounting assignment before the 5 PM deadline.
3) Collected all of the cups/dishes/plates that were dirty and lying around the house and washed them all in one swoop.
4) Opened my letters, one including my graduated driver's license that I've been waiting close to 2 weeks for, and one with my old Mastercard bill.
5) Cleaned up the family room a little bit so it at least looks somewhat presentable.
6) Submitted my accounting assignment (after losing my original printed copy of the assignment in which I had all of my answers written on, I had to rely on memory and doing some of the questions all over again :P)
7) Decided to blog, because that's KINDA productive.
Yeah, notice only 2 of those tasks actually had to do with school, and not one of them had to do with reading any of my texts. I guess it's safe to say my mind was fried from this morning's lectures, and the cardio workout didn't help my cause either.
Anyhow that's all for now, perhaps I'll blog later as the events I have up in the air right now are still to be decided.
