A quick shout out to Kev: Happy Birthday!
So yeah, on the completely opposite spectrum of things, it's 9/11 today or also known now as "Patriots Day." I won't really get into it considering my really limited knowledge of the entire ordeal. All I wanna say is that I'm very sorry to those ppl who lost loved ones this very day 3 years ago.
Just wanted to do a quick update on my gaming-drought. I found out the key reason why it's tough to give up gaming. And that's because gaming is probably THE greatest/easiest/most convenient activity that you can do to relax/have fun/feel good about yourself and most important kill time. It's one of those things that doesn't require a deep commitment at all. One sitting at gaming can range from God knows how many hours of RPG to a simple 5 second game of WarioWares. That's the great thing about it! Everyone seems to fit gaming into their schedule because they don't actually put it in it's schedule, but that it more becomes the transitional bridge between events in one's schedule (ie: studying and when dinner is ready). It totally becomes one of those things that's a 'work in progress' and you can pick it up and put it down whenever needed.
So with that being said, I figure that I need to find something else to fill my schedule with. I was thinking between napping and reading or studying but both usually take much longer or shorter time periods respectively. I've also tried to fill the void with TV, but that doesn't seem to help as much because there aren't good shows on 24/7, and it just doesn't seem like you're getting anything accomplished whereas with games you're completing a game. So for now I've decided to stick to watching parts of movies until I find a better replacement hobby.
On that same topic, I saw "Meet Joe Black" today. I really enjoyed the movie actually, and it never ceases to amaze me about how versatile an actor Brad Pitt can be. Lately I've been enjoying lots of his films along with Denzel Washington's, "Man on Fire." So all in all, really impressed with Meet Joe Black and Man on Fire, both are recommended movies :)
