Again another action-packed blogger. It's turned into another one of those occasions where there's been too much going on this past week to describe everything. So I'll keep the topics rolling.

First off, the simple stuff. My dad went to the car insurance dealer, and they were talking about adding me to the policy. I was really excited to hear this considering the last time we talked he said that last time the dealer told him it wouldn't be worth putting me on until at least 1-2 years. BUT after a quick meeting today and some friends who got insurance at a pretty cheap price (thanks Chris and Norman), my dad thought he'd ask again. So he found out that apparently the Alberta gov't is planning to try to reduce car insurance for the elderly and young drivers starting in October. Thus, it wouldn't be worth my while to get insurance right this instant considering the price is going to drop in less than 3 weeks. So my dad said that I'd be added into the policy at the start of October, meaning I'll be able to drive by myself by the beginning of October (that's if I can ever get the car).

I know it doesn't seem like a huge thing considering the fact that we only have 3 cars in this house for 3 drivers, but this whole thing has bigger ramifications than everyone really knows. You see, the inside scoop is that first of all I'm expecting my real license card to come in the mail by tmrw. That's step one, letting me drive by myself in the first place. Step two would be to get insurance which would let me drive by myself without being completely paranoid of messing up my entire driving career forever. Now step three is that my grandpa has been talking about wanting to buy me a car when I get my license and insurance. Well considering I'm getting both by the end of the month, that means the purchase of a new car for myself can't be too far away either. In the case of my older brother, it took a whole long time for my grandpa to buy him a car even though he had promised it forever, but I'm convinced that it's because he had no insurance for a while. So I figure/hoping that I'll have my own car by the beginning of next semester at earliest, and end of this school year at latest. OH BUDDY!

Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. Onto the bigger stuff: My "no-gaming" policy for the first semester.

This one is a huge one! Never in the course of my 13 years of schooling have I made such a commitment let alone kept it. But the plan at least is to not let myself play ANY electronic games at all (ranging from Mindsweeper to Halo 2), until at least the first semester is over. The only exception that I've made for myself is that I'm only allowed to play Halo 2 when we have one of the system link games. That is games involving more than 4 ppl. I know it sounds kinda lame that I'm making exceptions for this rule, but you try giving up gaming cold turkey punk!! ..................I'm sorry I'm sorry, I lost my cool......You're not really a punk. Anyhow, to be honest, it's been unbelievably easy so far. Considering I have basically a full course load on my plate, and the pressure for me to get a good enough grade to make it into University for next year, it's very easy not to look back at my lazy gaming self. BUT, I say this with the fact that I haven't had any weekends yet. I almost already know in my mind that weekends are gonna be the toughest days to keep focused, but I'll just have to tough it out.

It also doesn't help that all of the really sweet games are coming out in the next 3 months. So far on the list:

- Burnout 3
- SRS: Street Racing Syndicate
- Halo 2
- The Man's Game (first game with nudity in it, SCORE!)
- Fable
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (not for XBOX, but still gonna be sweet)

So yeah my gaming self is practically crying inside, ahh well. The alternative so far has been mainly reading ahead for my classes, and taking in more reality TV shows.

Which brings me to Apprentice 2. I think it should be a totally cool season, but the only set back is that there's way less hot chicks. And like Tom suggested yesterday as we were watching, they need an asian guy in the mix! That'd be awesome, he'd be the next Jee.

Ok now I'm getting kinda sick of blogging. I'll blog later on when I don't feel forced to type crap onto my blog.
