So from the looks of it, it just doesn't seem like I've had a great blog for a while. I mean, I've been discussing the regular day to day stuff that I normally do on a weekday which is not interesting at all. That's why I'm deciding to write a real blog before scrubs starts (which is in 10 minutes). Crap this is gonna be tight for time...
Okay, so I've been reading up on Kev's blog. His thoughts about clubbing also intermingled with a few ideas of my own on the subject has brought me to a conclusion. I'll agree that clubbing isn't the best time that you can have, like many people try to make it out to be. But I will say though that nonetheless, it's a fun time anyhow. I guess the main reason why some ppl enjoy it more than others is because they become accustomed to drinking and 'partying'. As a teenager, personally I haven't been to many parties, and I would know that life as well. And also going on with Kev's idea, I'll agree that every social activity is beginning to lose it's lustre. Ranging from drinking, clubbing, video games, board games, the usual stuff. I'm almost beginning to think and dread that we're becoming more like our parents, the kind of ppl who are most content just sitting at a table and talking to one another about a variety of subjects including their own kids and how much they suck compared to others. I remember a time when me, kev, tony, megan, clarence I think, and my brother were just at the kitchen table eating leftover pizza and just plain talking. That was actually one of the more fun times I've had lately.
Then again, I've also been a huge fan of sports. You know, if you have a good game of basketball or football with ppl you haven't seen in a while. After you work up a good sweat, you just feel a sense of team spirit and closer to your friends. Also it just works in nicely with the theme of sitting back and chilling with your friends after the game. That's why I'm really looking forward to the football games that we're gonna have over the summer. Man those are gonna be some crazy nights...
Also some stuff that happened today. I was just at Grant MacEwan when I passed by a College Pro booth. They were advertising for employment opportunities. Of course here I was thinking that it was exclusively for the U of A. When I saw the booth I was already a little late for my math class, so I had no choice but to keep walking. I kinda felt bad because there was a girl there (not a bad looker either), and she was completely bored because it seems like no one had walked up to the booth yet. So I thought in my head "I'll go check it out after I'm done math." So I sit through my crazily boring math class for 2 friggin hours. Afterwards I completely forget about the whole thing and goto the library with this really really cute chick instead. Then after hanging out with her, I get her MSN address (yeah I know that's lame, but you gotta take it slow sometimes). So after this entire ordeal, I go back downstairs just to find an empty desk and no cute booth girl to be found....Piece of shit...
Just the idea of painting outdoors with friends was always appealing. I mean I'm sure it would be a blast and totally good for money. What I'm not sure about is if I'd be able to get the time off that I would need in the future, or if they're even gonna come back to Grant MacEwan at all. I'm convinced they'll come tmrw because most places come for 2 days or so, but I guess we'll see........ But as it is, I'm left with a cute girl's msn address, some resources from the library to help me with my research essay, and an employment future that hangs in the balance. Interesting day indeed....
