It really pisses me off when...
...University students act as if they're all high and mighty because they choose to pay higher tuitions and get gangbanged by poor instructors. Just because you made the decision to pay higher tuitions for lower marks doesn't mean that you have to talk to students of other Post secondaries like they're fuckin 5 year olds. "Yeah I hear that Grant MacEwan is supposed to be REEEEEEEEEEEAAAALLY easy compared to University" or "You guys are SO lucky over there while we're working our asses off at the U of A." Look just because you goto the U of A doesn't mean you're automatically hot shit. I'll admit that it does require a higher avg from high school to get acceptance there, but that doesn't automatically make you the master of the universe. You have to prove that you even deserve to be there first before you start talking shit to me about how I have it easy and that "OH! University life is sooo STRESSFUL! (insert stressed out emoticon here)." Like honestly, let's get a few things straight. First off, use some of student loan to buy yourself a soother or maybe even a diaper so you don't shit your pants everytime you get 'stressed out'. Second, just because you decided to goto the U doesn't mean that you're automatically smarter than any other student at other schools. Fuck, a third of the ppl I know that goto the U are failing their courses or exams, and yet they act as if they're somehow more intellectual. Is it my fault that you assumed that once you get into University you would think that you wouldn't have to put any work to it? Thirdly, I'll admit that University is known for it's difficulty in it's courses. But how much tougher can a course between two schools that supply the EXACT same course?! If the course is even remotely more difficult as most university students claim, it doesn't mean that the rest of us are sitting here with our thumbs up our asses. I've been treated as if I'm learning the fuckin alphabet, and I'm so sick of this bullshit!
When you actually look at the causes of why university courses are more difficult, it's self-explanatory. I'll give you the breakdown:
75%: Congested class sizes.
20%: Crappy profs. who don't give a shit.
4.75%: The Bell curve
0.25%: People bitching and whining that they have to learn one more concept in a course than other schools.
Even if those are the reasons, don't act like I'm some fucking bum off the side of the street with no education. If we review the facts, 1) I was the one who decided to pay LESS money for smaller class sizes and half decent instructors. And 2) I'm most likely whipping your ass when it comes to course marks and GPA. So how the fuck can you label me as a dumbass when comparing my lifestyle to the grandeur of University life. Grow up.
Of course this rant only applies to those who go out of their way to degrade other post secondary students (you know who you are). I am in no way applying this to all university students, as I never do for any of my hateful rants. I know many friends who just suck it up, stop whining and bitching, and get their work done without any fuss. To the rest of you who believe that maybe you'll somehow get a higher GPA by emphasizing how unfair the world has been to you whether it be your choice of post secondary institution, the fact that you've never been laid, or because you were born with 12 toes, I DON'T GIVE A SHIT! And neither does anyone else including fellow university students who I've heard going on the same rant that I have.
