I got back my two midterms from that monday which I had to write both of them in the same day, and I'd say I'm pretty content. When first evaluating on how well I did, you have to keep in mind that I wasn't in my "Shoot for all 4's phase", I had to do almost all of the chapter reading for both courses over the weekend (7 chapters of reading), while at the same time juggling going to Ezzie's for Megan's bday, and working an 8 hour shift. So yeah, that weekend was hell, but I'm glad I struggled through it. Because of those factors, I thought I had such a bad chance of doing well in those tests. But all in all I got an 84% in my econ test (which will definitely change to a 86% because I talked to the instructor about an MC question), and a 75% in criminology (which I didn't even end up reading an entire chapter of. Damn that dry text!). I know the marks could have been higher, but again considering the circumstances, I was quite satisfied. With those marks, my chances of getting a GPA of 3.3 for this year seem better and better. Now it all comes to the finals, which is time to step it up.

Enough about school. I was on the bus just yesterday going home, when I saw this older asian woman (I would say mid 50's), riding on the same bus. Now what intrigued me about this particular woman was that first of all her shoes didn't match, and the fact that she was wearing these little gloves with hugeass holes at the end of the fingertips. Then at the holes you could see that she had these really long fingernails. And also while the bus was going, she had about 2-3 bags in which she was holding a variety of stuff. One of them included some raisin bagels from The Great Canadian Bagel, in which she was ripping chunks off of and eating on the way to my stop. Now the dillemma about the whole situation was trying to decipher if this woman was of the less fortunate society, OR if she was a typical middle aged asian woman. And when I say that, I mean that the typical asian woman wears everything that they own completely out. Take for example my mom, in which she keeps every single shirt that I have ever had. When they don't fit me, they get used as washcloths. Also our toaster which barely even works anymore, is older than me! Hehe another interesting one is that she sometimes likes to use the same seran wrap. Not that she keeps it overnight, but she'll take one from one plate and use it for another plate in the same day! Anyhow, I just found it kind of funny how I couldn't tell the difference b/w the two. But the woman did get off at my stop which is in the middle of castledowns. And I'd say not a whole bunch of less fortunate ppl roam around Castledowns.

I've also found that I can't work out as much. It's just that while I'm doing the exercise, it becomes extrenuous, but then the day after or so, I don't feel the pain at all. Of course this kinda frustrates me, as it would anyone, the fact that I spend a majority of time working out, yet feeling no burn afterwards. Maybe I've gotta bump up my weights a bit more.... Anyhow, my big plan is to get really big before summer starts to really come, which will make summer soo much cooler!

Oh and I guess one last thing I can write about is the article that Anita sent me over email. This article was explaining the event in which the largest sperm whale to ever enter taiwan, exploded in the middle of a town during the transport operation. Apparently there was too much fluid or gas build-up or something, and it just suddenly blew up into guts and intestines. I'm not sure about how many ppl have heard about it, but the pictures are pretty sick.... And if you're like me from the beginning, you're probably skeptical about the whole thing being real. So I checked up on various websites including CNN, and sure enough found the same news article time and time again. I'd post the link, but I don't have it handy right now..

And also, I'm beginning to check my eo guestbook again. That's the pinnacle of internet boredom.....
