Hey so I figured it's time to update this. So lets go!
First thing's first. I rented Ninja Gaiden for Xbox today. Of course this was mainly due to how much Rob kicks ass as he reserved me a rental copy on the side and even called me to tell me about it. But yeah, totally awesome game! So many button combinations for combos, fluent movement, great graphics, and awesome weapons. I mean come on, the first guy you fight is a guy with nunchuks! You try to throw ninja stars at him and he hits them back at you! SO AWESOME! My main complaints about it is that the enemies are too smart. Three ninjas fighting together, if you're not careful, can kill you altogether... Oh and the camera angle thing. Really gay because normally you can use your right analog stick to rotate it clockwise or counter, but in this particular game you have to press the right trigger to get the camera lined up with your back. Hard to explain.
Anyhow, while I'm kinda on the same topic (sorta), I've heard that our new store manager at Namao Blockbuster is one big HOE. I haven't worked with her personally but it's been bad reviews all around. To take some quotes, someone referred to her as a 'cow', and other ppl say that she's 'crude' and 'a big moron'. I have to work this friday to close the store with her, and frankly enough, I'm scared.... It'll be interesting though because if she pisses enough ppl off, all of the staff are bound to gang up and do something drastic (ie: everyone quitting, or everyone slacking off to make her look bad). Hehe there's nothing like team work!
On a related note, one of our coworkers, Darlene, go stuck in the staff room today for 1-2 hours. Apparently the lock on our staffroom door locked her in from the inside and outside, so she was forced to stay in there and read her boring book. It was quite funny because they had to call a locksmith and everything to get her out. It was like a mine shaft rescue!
Today I saw the new movie The Passion of the Christ with Kev. I will say that despite all of the criticism that it gets about being too brutal, and over portraying the punishment Jesus endured (from a quote "He would have died like 3 times before being crucified"), I really do think they did a splendid job! It's one of those movies that you've gotta watch just to be able to say you've seen it, and so you can talk about it with everyone else. I didn't find the movie terribly exciting, but it's supposed to be more dramatic than anything. Ryan was saying that he enjoyed the Satan actor (hehe Kev wasn't sure if it was a guy or a chick), but personally I found that I liked the actor who played Jesus. He was able to bring out his entire character, while also displaying the agony and torture that Jesus went through. It would be sooo tough to portray the kind of agony that makes you wince over and over again. On that same note, for those of you who haven't seen the movie, don't overload on snacks or pop. I remember half way through where I was ready to throw up during one of the more gruelling scenes. Another character that I also enjoyed was the head priest. He was evil enough to make you want to hate him with a passion, which is what he's going for. All in all, great movie, kinda long with some of the scenes, but hey that's what they're trying to portray with Jesus' suffering.
I can't really think of anything else to say, except for maybe that me and Kev are planning to jog on Sunday mornings. The route will be from my house, through the long way to Mary Butterworth for church. I'm really looking forward to it as that'll finally push me to goto church, and as well give me a good workout. We'll see how that goes, because everyone knows my attitude towards running :(
That's all she wrote............err he!
