So today was pretty interesting. Did a semi/partial workout with Ryan and Kev, and then me and Kev headed off to Joey's Only Seafood Restaurant.
First I'll say that the name of the restaurant is pretty ironic considering they have chicken right in their menu. But that's a whole other story. And second, their food is pretty friggin good! I remember going there more than a year ago and enjoying it, so we decided to go today. Man, that place is under rated.
But yeah me and Kev had some grub there and we began talking about an assortment of things. I think the main topic that struck me was the talk of moving out. I'm not saying that he or I claimed that we were gonna move out, but just the topic of moving out really gave me a wake up call today. The fact that we're at that part of our lives where so many different opporunities and windows are open is down right scary! I never would have thought that right now, I could really move out of my house if I found the right place, and it would seem normal! What I'm trying to say is that barely anything is outrageous or out of the question anymore! We've become adults people! And really I'm just left sitting here wondering "Where has all of the time gone?!?!" To give you an idea about outrageous outcomes, I'll give you a few examples of ppl who I've heard about and that I used to goto school with in Jr. High. Some of you may hear some familiar names.
1) Jeff Rafters. Good old Jeff and me used to be in the same grade 8/9 class. He was a bright guy, did a majority of his hw, and achieved the grades he wanted. What have I last heard of him? He apparently quit high school in grade 11 and has become a store manager for matress matress I believe. From what I hear from his parents (when they rented from our blockbuster), is that he's doing really good, and he's more than happy! Well whatever makes you happy :)
2) Chris Klimchuk. To tell you the truth, it may sound mean and everything, but I knew this guy was a fuck up from Day 1. I think anyone who knows him from our elementary, Lorelei, can relate as well. Anyhow apparently all he does now is smoke up 24/7, and especially with the hard stuff like Crystal Meth, and all that crap.. Yay for the former Scouts Canada veteran!!
3) Sarah Hilarious. I'm pretty certain that a majority of ppl who've gone to Lorelei or Mary Butterworth Jr High know this chick, as she was pretty popular. Yeah she used to be really fun and quite 'hilarious' back in the days (I'm sorry for the dumbass joke...) What is she up to know you ask? Well when I last rented to her brother at my blockbuster, he said that she was living in the U.S. with her fiance!! YES HER FIANCE! Keep in mind that she's MY age right now (18), and she's engaged! Now that's craziness!!!!
Anyhow, those are just a few stories of ppl. Maybe I'll share some more that I've heard in future blogs, depends on the demand for them. I just thought it would be interesting for some ppl to see what ever happened to those guys.
On another note, Kev Tony and I went to Rosie's Bar and Grill yesterday and sang "The Call" by the Backstreet Boys. I guess it wasn't as much singing as it was shouting into the microphone loud enough so no buddy knew that we weren't keeping up with the song.....More on that later..........Possibly...
