I really don't understand Asian parents, I mean really.... Just today I had a little encounter with my mom. Now she's one of those individuals who will hunt you down and hound you about something until the sun comes up. So here she is hounding me about not doing any school work at the moment (I had read my criminology text earlier, but apparently she didn't see me). So she presumed that I didn't do ANY work whatsoever all day today, and she was also convinced that I had EVERYTHING do tmrw. Of course the reality is that I had done lots of reading during the day already, as well I only have a math class tmrw to goto that doesn't even start until noon!

So she's going off about a whole bunch of stuff, and you know how asian parents just totally hate to be wrong about something, and make well damn sure that they aren't proven wrong EVER, even if it involves defeating all laws of logic. So here was her batting order of nagging:

1) "You haven't done any work at all today!" (uhh actually I did a whole bunch of reading during my school breaks and just now...)

2) "You should do better in school!" (but wait a minute, my avg is above 70 and you said as long as it's 70 or higher...)

3) "Uhhhh, you should goto sleep and stuff!" (my class starts at noon though....and I only have one class for the day!)

Now at this point she's getting really desperate and will resort to anything to make sure she's right. So she deals the finishing blow, "Hey you should goto sleep ANYWAY instead of playing games. If you don't, then I'll MAKE you study! And uhh, Tom, you goto sleep too."

This statement of course not making any sense at all seeing as you can't make someone study, but you can only make them pull out their books and pretend to look at the pages. And with the fact that my brother has the entire week off of work, so he has nothing in particular to wake up for early tmrw, thus defeating the purpose of telling him to goto sleep early. Good one!!

Anyhow, that's my spiel about asian parents for today. Hmm, I wish other ppl updated their blogs. This is kinda getting tedious and boring... Anyhow, back to criminology I guess...
