Wow! What a joyous day! Ranald ACTUALLY updated his blog! Hehe crazy.

Hmm, but the weather was a whole other thing.......It was sooo cold. Really I don't think anyone has any pleasant things to say about the weather, so there's no point in me repeating how everyone feels. Though I will say that while the buses were really really late, I came to three conclusions:

1) There are waay too many 8 Abbotsfield buses that arrive at Kingsway for anyone's good. While I was waiting for my 9 Northgate, I must have had atleast 5-6 number 8 buses come by before I even caught glimpse of a 9 bus. Of course, when I DID finally see a 9 bus, it was a 9 to NAIT which does me no good at all... Honestly, why does that bus exist?! And even if there was a good reason for it, why does it not differentiate when the two different buses with different destinations are coming on the bus schedule?! You could atleast put a little side note saying that the following buses are only travelling to NAIT, but they don't. So here I am waiting for my 9 Northgate, while I hate atleast 20 buses (not even exaggerating), come by with different route numbers. I also had to wait through 2 number 9 NAIT buses in a row!!! What's the point of that?!?!?!

2) Even though the buses were running behind schedule and all, and you would expect that such a crisis would get everyone in a big pissy mood, I found that the general mood towards buses was surprisingly lenient (when it came to Kingsway atleast). Now I'm not saying that everyone was all smiles or anything, but the conclusion that I came to is that it's easier for people to share misery. Let me elaborate on this. When people are really happy in situations, they tend to keep the reasoning why they are happy to themselves unless questioned about it, or talking to a close friend. BUT, when people are irritated or mad about something, they can much more easily share the reason why with complete strangers, especially when that irritating factor is mutual. And in this way it's easier to openly vent about something with someone, while also enjoying the fact that someone feels the EXACT same way that you do.

3) When we tend to get pissed at stuff that's out of our control, we literally get mad at THOSE things. An example, when a bus doesn't come for a long time, we always think in our heads "Come on bus, frick! You're taking forever!". Now they had a term for this in English when you start talking to or about inanimate objects, but it escapes my memory at the moment (I'm sure Lauren would know, she's an English Gene-ass). Anywho, that principle applies for anything that irritates us enough.

- Food that burns our mouth "You stupid pizza!"
- A puddle that makes our clothes wet "You big bastard puddle!"
- Appendages that aren't performing to par (applies for me especially) "Friggin hip. I hate you!"
- Pens that don't work "Are you serious?! Come on and write!"

Anyhow you get the idea....

Just on a closing note for my blog, I think I spend way too much time updating and writing my really really long blogs. So I'm really considering on cutting back on it especially if no one really visits my page often, or finds any value in my writing. So just for my benefit, if you do decide to drop by my humble page, just leave me a tag letting me know that you actually visited here. I just want to get some kind of estimate of how many people actually keep coming back. Thanks a bunch!
