Well today has been quite the restless and lazy day. It's about 3:30 at the moment, and all I can say that I've accomplished today was playing warcraft 3 and making plans for tonight... Quite the sad day for Dev...
I was also taking a look at Kev's blogspot webpage hehe which is actually quite ingeniously put together if i may so so myself just because it really gets you thinking and also inside of his head about those things you normally take for granted. On that note, I believe that my blog will also take a somewhat similar design of content.
With that said, what I wanted to bring up today was the world of soap operas.. Today while I was playing Warcraft 3, I just so happened to catch a glimpse of some Days of Our Lives and also some Passions. Now being a total soap opera Newbie, I really had no clue what to expect from such a highly acclaimed series as "Passions". Being bored and playing Wc3 at the same time, I decided to maybe take a look into it...
Today they had an episode where it re-enacted the story of Hansel and Gretel. I can honestly say that I have never seen a gayer man in the world than the one that played Hansel. The guy had short black hair and used one of those soft voices to create the character of a little boy. Ok now this is my thoughts..
Why in the world would you re-enact such a childhood story in a soap that's supposed to be for adults? I can honestly say that I was really surprised that such an acclaimed series would resort to such a crappy plot, and even crappier acting! MAN was the acting sooo amateur!! I couldn't believe it at all. Actually it's still going on right now, and it seems that the witch has been burning in the stove for about 15 min. Haha now watching it a little more, I forgot to mention that there's a freakin monkey as one of the main roles!!! WHAT IN GOD'S NAME WERE THEY THINKING?!?!?! You know if you have to rely on a monkey to play a major role in a series, that your tv show has got some serious problems. And now keep in mind that this was not a regular monkey. In fact I felt quite sorry for the little guy for the fact that he was dressed up as a little girl with bonnet and all...... The world today......:(
What also sparked my interest as well was the fact that Helen was saying that even in the regular "Passions" storyline, they include witches and all that good stuff as well.... I mean, it's good to have a change and everything when it comes to some things, but I just can't take a series serious when it has a witch in it!! COME ON!
Speaking of the witch, I found this particularily interesting. When they were switching back and forth b/w the Hansel and Gretel story and the actual storyline, there was this actress that played a role in both plots. Now in the Hansel and Gretel one, she played the witch that gets completely roasted in the stove for like 15 min straight. From the word witch, you would expect someone really ugly with warts and a huge nose and all of that stuff right? But needless to say, this chick had none of those features and was actually quite the big hottie! She had long hair and a nice face. Hehe I guess this would explain why I kept watching the show to begin with. Anyhow, when they switched back to the regular series, the hottie was nowhere to be found. Of course I was quickly reassured by Helen that the same chick was indeed in the real storyline. I could not recognize her at all, so Helen would have to point it out when it showed her. When the time had finally come, Helen directed my attention to this one individual. Now I was thinking "Wow, if she's really hot as a witch, she must be extremely hot as a regular person!!!". The next thing I know, I'm looking at this little chick with really really disgustingly short hair that looks nothing like she did 2 min ago! I was like WTF?!!?!
Which brings me to my next point, why in the world to women where their hair so short?! Like honestly, when you can't tell if someone is a guy or girl, you know something is extremely wrong! Such bad occurances even happen to the hottest of stars. Take Mandy Moore for example! She was really really hot one moment, next thing you know she has barely any hair to cover her head, and she's wearing one of those gay hats! Frick!!! That just makes me say "What a waste..." So a note to any girl out there reading this (haha yeah right, like that's gonna happen), atleast in my books, short hair is great to a point. I have made something I like to call the shoulder rule. It states that if any girl has hair that is shoulder length or longer, that's fine. I mean I know lots of girls with shoulder length hair that look totally hot! But when it gets under shoulder length, that's when it approaches the Danger Zone or (Onagi zone for any of you that are familiar with taking "ka-ra-tay" lol).
I think I should read some of my book that I have to be done by this friday. Personally I have an extra long weekend which extends all the way up to and including wednesday, which is totally awesome. The only problem with that is there's no one else that has that day off, therefore resulting in another day such as today :P Anyway I'm done....
High: Seeing that hot witch lady. hehe she was hot... OR reading kev's blog (www.kevinhuang911.blogspot.com)
Low: realizing how much reading I'm behind in
