I don't want to do my math..........................I can of course leave that until tmrw during my 4 hour spare, but that would be very irresponsible of me... But at the same time very time efficient, and more present-time relieving. Crap I'll prolly end up doing JUST that!
Onto other things......
I visited my high school today to visit some old friends and teachers, and as well pick up my yearbook. It actually turned out to be the worst possible day to do so considering it was Parent/Teacher night apparently, and all of the teachers had to leave to the gym immediately after they were done their responsibilities (when i got there). So yeah, needless to say, didn't get to talk much with teachers. But I will say though that visiting my old drama club couldn't have gone any better... I'm not quite sure why it happened the way that it did happen, but I was almost treated like a Movie Star when I got there. Of course, I didn't mind such a thing, nor would anyone in the world mind at all, seeing as that kind of thing would boost your ego quite a lot :) It was all cool though, met up with old drama buddies (all chicks, as the show they're putting up this year has 24 chicks, and 1 guy! What is with that?!?!).
Anyhow, everyone that I know begins asking me where I go for school, how everything's been, and all of that good stuff. Ironically enough, I decided to wear my Grant MacEwan T-shirt today, so that was kind of weird. Despite this, they didn't catch on to it, and I had to literally point to my t-shirt. Hehe......
Making a long story short, I was especially happy when I saw this one asian chick from drama that I knew from last year (for any of you that are following along, it's that girl who played the White Queen in Alice last year). She is just sooo amazingly talented when it comes to acting as she has acted with the citadel multiple times, and has many many high-ranking plays under her belt. To get to the point, she was equally excited to see me for some reason that I'm unaware of, and when she came up to visit me, she just literally had a FLURRY of questions! I tell you, if it was possible to create a hurricane with one's mouth, I would not be here typing this right now.... But she was just ECSTATIC with questions and just full of energy, which kinda freaked me out, but at the same time made me laugh. She's also a proffessional dancer, pilates instructor, and full ib student (and I thought I was always keeping busy). Oh and I also forgot to mention that I kinda had mixed feelings for her during last year, I think it was mainly because of the whole 'too busy to do anything' factor that catches everyone. You know, it's the 'hard to get' game, except it's applied literally because she has no time at all for anything else (which I also think was partly the reason for her verbal hurricane). But yeah, just talking to her got me kinda interested in her again, and well who knows what's gonna happen? Though I'd like for something to happen, I just don't think it's possible because of the circumstances, but ahh well, you win some and you lose some. She's also in Grade 11 this year, which would be kinda awkward....
Now just building on what Kev posted earlier today about penny pinchers, I'd just like to tackle it from an economic POV. Just a reference beforehand that you'll have to read kev's blog before understanding any of what i'm saying. Anyhow, in Econ, a person's value of something is related to measurable terms called 'Utils'. Now like I was saying before, one person's value or demand for something may be different from another person's, so this is more of a comparative term. For example, after a long day's work without food and just drinks, I really crave a bag of chips like you wouldn't believe! Now for the first chip I eat in my big bag, since I crave it so much, I would have a value of 1000000 utils of satisfaction after having it. Now what needs to be known that the principle following utils is that after something is consumed, you have less and less utils for that product as you kind of get sick of it, and you've already had some. So naturally the following chips I eat would have a lower util value than that of my first chip.
So with this principle, we can measure how much someone actually wants a product. How this is done is by comparing the price the customer is WILLING to pay compared to the price that he is ACTUALLY paying. So after a long day of work, I could be WILLING to pay 5 bucks for a small bag of chips, but yet pay only 1 buck for that bag of chips, then from that my 'consumer surplus' would be 4 dollars. I just saved 4 dollars that I was willing to pay for that same product I got for cheaper. Now like I was saying, different customers have different degrees of demand. And I believe that's what makes the economy work... If everyone were to be penny pinchers in the economy, businesses would go bankrupt as they would not be able to cover their costs. As well, even if a business were to strive from such a loss, then other companies would be less encouraged to join that market, as they current supplier is making less revenue. So in conclusion, it is the difference of demand that keeps the economy going smoothly!! AND, my brother is one cheap bastard........
